Which customer buys which products, which products generate wich profit margins,
which customer group gain which profit margin, or which sales channel generates
which costs.
Your ERP delivers that report? Does it consider real paid amounts and year based reimbursements?
We often see that ERP systems can not combine date comming from sales
directly with data comming from accounting. Especially in production business

there was one aspect in the center: Never loose data, even if the quality of the base data is poor or partly inconsistent.
For those the categories "Not assigned" and "Wrong assigned" are automatically used. Those extra categories
will be added to each hierarchical categoried report - if there are some data falling into those categories.
Now it is easy to find "uncategorized" records which may be missing in other reports.
How does it perform with large amounts of data?
ERP systems store data transaction oriented. That means data can fast be read and stored for transactions.
But often this is unafordable for reports. They become slow. Did you wait a weekend to get you sales report.
And afterwards you see that there is the wrong filter applied? Now it is time change.
